The American Wirehair Cat
Posted by admin

Aug. 26th 2008
American Wirehair is a domestic cat breed. Its unique attribute is its wiry fur.
American Wirehair is a domestic feline that was first seen in the
mid nineteen sixties in United States when two otherwise normal cats
produced kittens with curled ‘wiry’ hair. An interested breeder took to
their development and after some years of dedicated efforts, litters
with consistent physical and behavioral traits were born. Registration
came soon afterward and the cat was accepted for championship status by
the late seventies. Even as the cat has been exported to European
nations, its spontaneous mutation occurred only in the United States, a
fact that surprises some geneticists. Since American Wirehairs evolved
from a single ancestor, they are periodically outcrossed with American
Shorthairs to maintain diversity in their gene pool.

You can learn alot about the Law of Attraction by observing animals. They can teach us a thing or two about living life.
Have you ever noticed that animals live in the moment? I have never seen an animal actually contemplate what his future is going to be. He goes along with every moment and acts accordingly. He doesn’t even question the Universe and lives his life to the fullest. No questions; just joy and understanding.
Animals have an inane ability to love unconditionally. They don’t hold it against you if you accidentally step on their tails. They may run for the moment but they come back loving you even more than before.

Removing your cat’s nails is not the only choice in your battle against cat scratching. There are many alternatives to this surgical procedure.
The claws of a feline serve many purposes, most of which are overlooked by owners who just want to protect their belongings. Claws are not just a device for scratching. They are a multi-purpose tool that cats use for many things, such as balance, climbing, defense, kneading, playing, and self-expression.

The dwarf cat has some interesting breed names. Dwarf cats are unusual and popular. People are interested in them. What is equally unusual and fascinating are the names of the various dwarf breeds and, more particularly, how these interesting names came about. Here are the stories about how they were created.
The stories about the creation of the name come from the person who created the breed and invented the name. Fittingly, sometimes the name, just like the dwarf cat, is a hybrid itself.
Genetta: This is a dwarf cat created and named by Shannon Kiley of Pawstruk Cattery in 2006. Genettas are being registered as an experimental breed with The International cat Association (TICA).

A Garden for your Pet Cat Cats enjoy roaming around in gardens, investigation and getting into mischief. Why not set aside a piece of garden to bring pleasure to your cat(s).
We have two house cats, a Ragdoll and a Persian Chinchilla, that love to go out and play in the sun. We set aside a part of the garden to the rear of the house which would be 3/4 lawn and the rest a planted raised bed.
